This group consists of a number of spectacular spider orchids
most of which have upturned sepals and petals and are green to yellow in colour.
These orchids somtimes hybridise with with C. longicauda to produce interesting
looking flowers.

| C. falcata is the most common member of the green spider orchid group and one of the most common orchids of the western wheatbelt, found in a great variety of habitats. | |||

| Where C. falcata and C. longicauda grow together there is often hybrids present. This hybrid (Caladenia x cala) always has a red tipped labbelum and its petals range from white to greenish and are often held stiffly, halfway between the upswept petals of C. falcata and the dangling petals of C. longicauda. | |||
